Carly Henderson is an Emmy-nominated TV host, producer and content creator.
You may have seen one of her celebrity interviews- some of which racked up over a million views on YouTube. Carly built her reputation for asking celebrities the questions fans really want to know while covering events like the MTV VMAs, American Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards and more. She’s chatted with Hollywood's biggest stars like Selena Gomez, Halle Berry, and K-Pop sensations BTS.
Carly got her start when she landed her dream job as a host on MTV's college network mtvU, where she hosted MTV Spring Break, reported from events around the country like South by Southwest music festival, and interviewed former President Joe Biden (then VP) from his home in Washington DC.
She hosted Chicago’s live two-hour daily morning TV show The Jam, where she put her effervescent energy to good use as she woke up the city every weekday. There, she offered her opinion on the latest entertainment news and lifestyle trends, interviewed comedians and guests, and showed viewers the coolest things they could experience around the Windy City (while checking many off her bucket list).
Seattle was calling her name and Carly co-hosted more than 600 episodes of the popular lifestyle show Studio 13 Live on FOX 13 Seattle, where she weighed in on trending topics, covered the Seattle food scene, and tried everything from the trapeze to learning to fly a sea plane. Known for her thoughtful and entertaining conversations with actors and musicians, she also gave viewers their daily dose of the biggest celebrity news stories and must-do events as the entertainment host and features reporter on Good Day Seattle.
Carly maintains active social media accounts (and was once the #1 trending Twitter topic in Brazil!), where she shows viewers the coolest things they can do in the PNW, documents her behind-the-scenes adventures, and shares clips from her celebrity interviews.
She was nominated for an Emmy for her work hosting the Half of Us Campaign, which helps young people struggling with mental health issues. Carly is a graduate of the highly competitive University of Missouri School of Journalism program, with a degree in Broadcast News.
Her natural curiosity, enthusiasm, and warmth help viewers experience the excitement she gets to be a part of firsthand, all while giving audiences the sense that Carly could be their new best friend. In her spare time, this Colorado native loves spending time outside, playing with her dog Waffles, and searching for the most delicious cup of coffee she can find.
